Managing Director
Registered LBP, Registered Master Builder

  • Daniel Spencer is the founder and driving force behind Spencer Contracting Ltd. With nearly 20 years in the building industry, Daniel has worked across almost every corner of construction — from high-end residential homes and farm sheds to major commercial and infrastructure projects across New Zealand.

He started the company in 2018 with one van and a vision: to build a business known for quality, reliability, and pride in workmanship. Today, that vision has grown into a thriving team based in Te Kuiti, delivering projects from local homes to national builds.

Daniel’s leadership style is hands-on and straightforward. He values clear communication, strong teamwork, and doing things right the first time. His broad skillset spans everything from project management and earthworks to structural concrete and fine finishing — backed by a deep respect for safety, training, and the next generation of tradespeople.

“We build with care, because every project we touch is part of our community.
